Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is an invasive insect that has been impacting ash trees in Minnesota for over 30 years. EAB has been confirmed in 56 counties in the state. Though it has not been confirmed in Cook County yet, its presence in neighboring Lake County and over the Canadian border in Thunder Bay has residents and natural resource professionals in Cook County concerned that it will be found soon in our area.
