SMC Pharmacy Clerk (PT)

The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Pharmacy is looking for a personable and detail-oriented person to fill the role of Pharmacy Clerk!

Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the Pharmacy Clerk provides in-person and telephone reception, receives and directs new and refill prescriptions for further processing, sells filled prescriptions and pharmaceutical merchandise, and assists pharmacy personnel with clerical functions.

Job Responsibilities:

Help healthcare providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone; answering questions and requests; referring inquiries to the pharmacist

Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by keeping the pharmacy neat, clean, and clutter-free

Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Receive and directs new and refill prescriptions for further processing

Assists pharmacy personnel with clerical functions

All other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the pharmacy and its patients, understanding that the requirements of working in a pharmacy are varied and may change in order to best serve the pharmacy needs of the community

Job Qualifications:

High school degree or equivalent

Strong patient/customer service skills

Previous experience with sales, register, and healthcare preferred

Strong commitment to patient experience, service, and quality

Starting wage: $16-18 depending on relevant experience.

This is a regular, part-time (20+ hours/week) position, eligible for some benefits, including paid-time off, employee assistance program, employer-matched 401k*, and fitness fund.

*401k eligibility starts at the completion of 6 months of employment and at least 832 hours, or completing 1000 hours of work in 1 year.
