Maintenance Engineer

North Shore Health has a Full Time opening for a Maintenance Engineer. This position is 72 hours per pay period plus some on-call hours.

The Maintenance Engineer assists in operating and maintaining technically sophisticated mechanical and electrical equipment, performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on the building, mechanical equipment, utility systems and grounds.  Assists in operating and maintaining the boiler system to provide heat and hot water for NSH.   

Minimum Qualifications (Preferred Qualifications)

Experience:  Two years of progressively responsible full-time experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair. (Four years of progressively responsible full-time experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair.  Previous course work or experience with heating, ventilation and air conditioning.)

Education:  High School Diploma or equivalent. (Two-Year Technical or Trade School or sufficient experience of a related nature in lieu of degree.)

Licensure/Certification/Registration:  Valid Minnesota driver’s license.  Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry, Special Boiler License or be able to obtain within 1year of employment. (Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry, 1-C Boiler License.)
