Dietary Cook
Description: North Shore Health has a part-time position available for a Cook, this is 40 hours per pay period. The Cook plays an essential role in the healthcare environment, focusing on the preparation and delivery of meals to patients, staff, and visitors in a fast pace environment. This position ensures that all individuals within the facility have access to nutritious and satisfying meals, tailored to meet dietary needs and preferences. By maintaining strict hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas, the Dietary Cook or Prep supports the overall health and well-being of the hospital and Care Center community. Depending on shift assigned their responsibilities go form washing dishes to cooking, adhering to health regulations, and providing excellent customer service, making their contribution fundamental to the smooth operation of the Dietary department. Cook Job Duties • Prepare and deliver patient meals and snacks according to dietary requirements and meal plans, ensuring all food served adheres to health and safety standards. • Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, ovens, and blenders, maintaining cleanliness and functionality. • Take inventory of food supplies and kitchen utensils, restocking items as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-equipped for meal preparation. • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware to prevent the spread of infection and comply with health regulations. • Wash dishes when assigned a “Prep shift”. • Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from the kitchen and dining areas, following waste management protocols. • Assist in the receipt and storage of food deliveries, verifying quantities and quality, and organizing storerooms and refrigerators. • Participate in menu planning and the development of new dishes that meet nutritional standards and cater to patient dietary restrictions. Applicants are required to be able to work AM Cook, AM Prep, PM Cook, shifts rotating holidays and every other weekend. Wage range starts at $20.57 per hour, with a full earning potential of $27.76 at step 14. Clinical Nurse Manager
Description: North Shore Health has a full-time, salaried position available in the Hospital Department for a Clinical Nurse Manager. The Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for directing, organizing, and supervising the work of hospital nursing and ancillary staff within the assigned patient care area. This role promotes and restores patients’ health by providing effective day to day operational management, ensuring high quality clinical practice, and leading long term planning initiatives that support safe, efficient, and patient centered care. The Clinical Nurse Manager collaborates closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes and maintain a culture of excellence. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Experience: Three (3) years relative experience is required. Demonstrate proficient us of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook. Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current license in Minnesota to practice as a Registered Nurse. ACLS Certification upon hire. PALS, TNCC and CALS Certifications within six (6) months of hire. BLS Certification with a designation of either "BLS Provider" from the American Heart Association. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience: Meditech Information System experience in PCS, EDM and EMR with an understanding of information flow throughout the Meditech System. Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist
Description: North Shore Health has a part time, 24 hours per pay period position available in the Rehabilitation Department for a Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist. The Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist provider plans, organizes, directs and evaluates care for patients following directives of professional and regulatory bodies. Delegates tasks to other Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab personnel. Experience: Previous Cardiac Rehab experience is desired but not necessary. Education: Associate or Bachelor of Nursing Degree. Bachelor, Masters or Doctor of Physical Therapy, Exercise Physiologist, Respiratory Therapist, Bachelor or Masters of Athletic Training Licensure/Certification/Registration: • BLS certification within 1 month of hire. • ACLS certification within 6 months of hire. • ACSM Certification at the exercise specialist level within 12 months of employment or assist department AACPVR certification • The hospital provides education opportunities to meet mandatory certification requirements per contract. Preferred Qualifications: • RN or PT with two years of experience with BLS/ACLS and experience in cardiopulmonary setting with AACPVR credentialing.
