What You Will Earn:
The anticipated starting hourly rate for this position is $28.12 (Step 1) - $30.42 (Step 3)/hour depending on experience. With a full future earning potential of $28.12 (Step 1) - $38.49 (Step 9)/hour ($51,178.40 - $70,051.80 annually). This position is a full-time, 35 hours per week, and eligible for full-time county BENEFITS PACKAGE.

Job Summary:
This is a split position that works with both Auditor-Treasurer and County Recorder. Provides essential accounting work for daily deposits, departmental budget reporting, and lodging taxes.  Provides accounting support for the County Airport.  Acts as backup for Countywide payroll process; including issues in UKG and timecard systems. Has primary responsibility for election equipment management and testing.  Performs a variety of property tax functions including maintenance, collections, and distributions. Maintains a general knowledge of the County’s financial, tax and election functions in order to assist as needed.

Performs skilled technical work as assistant to the County Recorder and Registrar of Titles.  Interprets and applies state statutes; reviews, records, and files documents; and maintains accurate document filing systems. Provide assistance and information to the public and professional users regarding land records, issuance of vital records (birth and death), marriage records, military discharges, notary commissions, ordinations, and other records maintained by the department.
