MIG Welding 101

MIG Welding 101 is an introductory course designed to teach students the fundamental skills and techniques required for Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding. Whether you're new to welding or looking to refine your skills, this hands-on course will provide a solid foundation in welding safety, equipment setup, and metal joining techniques. Throughout the course, students will learn about MIG welding theory, including the basics of welding principles, types of materials, and the different types of filler metals. Emphasis will be placed on mastering proper equipment handling, including the MIG welder, wire feed systems, and safety protocols.

Students will gain practical experience by welding mild steel, working with different joint configurations, and troubleshooting common issues like porosity, spatter, and incomplete fusion.

By the end of the course, participants will have the skills to complete basic MIG welds and be ready to apply these techniques to a variety of real-world projects.
