DROP–IN MODERN DANCE CLASS IN GRAND MARAIS
When: Thursdays 5:30-7PM
October 3rd-December 19th, 2024 (NO CLASS 10/31 & 11/28)
Where: Community Center Log Cabin (317 W. 5th Street Grand Marais, MN)
Who: Ages 12-adult – All experience levels and abilities welcome
How Much: Donations accepted $0-$15/class, cost is not a barrier to attending
Join us for a weekly drop-in dance class with a rotating cast of teachers! This is a chance to dip your toes into different ways of moving. We’ll explore dance from the inside out - less about what it looks like and more about what it feels like. Class styles will vary, including approaches to modern and contemporary dance technique, improvisation, partnering, creative movement, and body awareness.

steph vos is a chiropractor, yoga therapist, and dancer who believes that bodies are meant to be enjoyed! dancing in a creative, intuitive, and improvisatory way is one of her favorite ways to experience the enjoyment of embodiment.
Lenna Stever-Sobanja wants everyone in the world to dance with her. She creates a welcoming and joyous dance space where every participant feels empowered and celebrated.
Margaret E Johnson is a dancer and dancemaker who values movement as a way of relating to our environment and ourselves. Her style joyfully bops between precise technique, subtle improvisation, and pop sensibility.
Rachel Clark is a passionate dancer eager to share her joy and love of the moving body. Her movement is influenced by modern and contemporary dance technique, improvisation, yoga, qigong, mindfulness, curiosity, intuition, play, and music.
