Join the Cook County Historical Society at North House Folk School for our annual Planked Trout Dinner and Fundraiser on Tuesday, September 1st, at 5 p.m. This popular event brings the community together to enjoy a fresh, open-fire Lake Superior trout dinner while celebrating local history and supporting the collection, preservation, and dissemination of knowledge about the history of Cook County.

Tickets can be purchased via the online form or by stopping by the History Museum or Johnson Heritage Post Art Gallery and ordering in person.

Special thanks to Cook County Co-op for providing the wild rice; Crosby Bakery for the dessert; Fisherman’s Daughter for the tartar sauce and sliced lemon; Java Moose for the carafes of sparklers; Johnson’s Foods for condiments and rolls; North Superior Fishery; Teresa Bragg and Laurie Spry for the cheesy potatoes; and South of the Border Cafe for the coleslaw.
