Seasonal Maintenance Worker - Mower - Employment/Help Wanted

What You Will Earn:
The anticipated starting hourly rate for this position is $20.88 - $21.72/hour depending on experience. This position is seasonal, full-time 40 hours per week, between June and August/September. This position is not eligible for the County benefit package.

The Cook County Highway Department is dedicated to maintaining and improving our
county's transportation infrastructure. We oversee the construction, maintenance, and planning of
roads, bridges, and other transportation systems to ensure safe and efficient travel for residents and
visitors alike.

DESCRIPTION:
As a Seasonal Mower with the Cook County Highway Department, you will have the
opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on a variety of projects. Responsibilities
may include:
· Maintain vegetation along county roads by operating a tractor-mower and tractor-boom brusher
· Chainsaw operations to remove hazard trees and clear right of way
· Collaborating with team members on project planning and execution
· Control flagging operations at road maintenance project sites
