Position Objectives:
The Grand Marais Public Library is seeking a part time Library Clerk. When you share your excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, interest in libraries, and technology skills with the library, you help inspire a sense of community belonging in Cook County. You also encourage literacy and support the lifelong love of learning. Starting wage is $20.33 per hour. Job description and application forms are available at ci.grand-marais.mn.us/apply.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Library clerks work as a team to create a welcoming, comfortable place for the public to explore, learn, create and connect. In addition to processing, shelving and routing library materials, they help people access relevant information, use public access technology including the Internet or photocopier, and inspire a lifelong love of learning. Through high quality customer service, they build relationships with folks from all walks and stages of life. In doing so, they foster a sense of community belonging for all Cook County’s residents and visitors.

Minimum Requirements
Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, interest in libraries, computer skills, High School diploma, six months working with the public. Library experience is a plus. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule of 17-25 hours per week, weekdays 9:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., Wednesday evenings and Saturdays.
