Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist

North Shore Health has a part time, 24 hours per pay period position available in the Rehabilitation Department for a Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist. The Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist provider plans, organizes, directs and evaluates care for patients following directives of professional and regulatory bodies. Delegates tasks to other Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab personnel.

Experience: Previous Cardiac Rehab experience is desired but not necessary.

Education:  Associate or Bachelor of Nursing Degree. Bachelor, Masters or Doctor of Physical Therapy, Exercise Physiologist, Respiratory Therapist, Bachelor or Masters of Athletic Training

Licensure/Certification/Registration: 
• BLS certification within 1 month of hire.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• ACSM Certification at the exercise specialist level within 12 months of employment or assist department AACPVR certification
• The hospital provides education opportunities to meet mandatory certification requirements per contract.

Preferred Qualifications:
• RN or PT with two years of experience with BLS/ACLS and experience in cardiopulmonary setting with AACPVR credentialing.
