North Shore Health in Grand Marais, MN is looking for an Activities Director. This is a full-time position. The Activities Director ensures the coordination, development and implementation of activity services and programs for the North Shore Health (NSH) residents and swing bed (SB) patients by utilizing staff experience, as well as families, volunteers, and other community resource groups. The Activities Director is expected to assume a leadership role in developing a culture that enables employees to support the Mission, Vision and Values of North Shore Health. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Experience: The Activity Director needs to possess the following experience and professional leadership viewpoints: a. Must be able to relate professionally and positively to corporate and departmental staff and work cooperatively with other associates at all levels b. Must be capable of maintaining regular workday attendance and performing the essential functions of the job. Knowledge of the MDS 3.0 process is desired (or can be trained). c. Must be able to relate professionally and positively to corporate and departmental staff and work cooperatively with other associates at all levels. Education: Have current certification as therapeutic recreation specialist, COTA, or as an activity professional by a recognized accrediting organization by state and federal guidelines. Salary range is $23.87 - $36.11 hourly. Salary range is negotiable if applicant holds a specialty certification or degree.
