Cook County SWCD is collaborating with NRRI and MN Sea Grant on MN Lakes Look Out Program
The program monitors cyanobacteria and chloride in our lakes. It is a citizen science based program.

The SWCD in collaboration with NRRI will be holding a training session on Friday, August 28, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Sea Gull Lake Community Center. It is also available via zoom upon request to: ilena.hansel@cookcountymn.gov If you are curious about learning more, come on up, enjoy the area and decide if this is something for you.
We are looking for someone for Poplar and Devil Track Lakes specifically. We are also hoping to enable folks to monitor the lake they reside on or care about if they notice a bloom.
