Description: The Cook County/Grand Marais Joint Economic Development Authority (EDA) partners with the Northland Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to provide no-cost consulting services to entrepreneurs and small business clients. The SBDC consultant provides relevant and realistic advice in areas such as: Access to capital and loan packaging Financial analysis and assessment Accounting systems Marketing and market research Marketing plan development Feasibility analysis Startup assistance Business plan development Electronic Commerce and website development Succession and strategic planning This is a part-time, independent consultant position based at the EDA office, located at 425 W Highway 61 Suite B in Grand Marais. The anticipated workload is approximately 50 hours per month, with a consulting rate of $65 per hour.
