LUNAFEST is a traveling film festival, first brought to Cook county by Violence Prevention Center in 2011, featuring short films made by women, for ALL who care about the universal issues. LUNAFEST 2019 features eight short films by filmmakers with roots in Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Nigeria, the Philippines, Singapore, and the United States. These short dramas, comedies, and documentaries will tug at your heartstrings, make you smile, make you think and at the same time support the services and programs of the Violence Prevention Center.
