Part-time lifeguard positions are paid up to $15/hour. Position Summary
Lifeguards maintain safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas. Lifeguards create a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.

Lifeguards work during the operating hours of the YMCA. Shifts may vary depending on candidate availability and schedule openings. The current facility hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 am-7:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am-1:00 pm.

1. Minimum age of 16
2. Certifications: CPR/AED for the professional rescuer, YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid, and Oxygen (preferred). Certification courses are provided by the YMCA. If candidates pass the certification course and are hired by the YMCA, the course fees are free to the employee.
3. Ability to maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness.
4. Must be able to successfully pass a background check.
