Lift Mechanic
Maintain and repair all lift equipment, ranging from conveyors, fixed grip lifts, and a gondola. Duties include regularly scheduled maintenance, pre-operational, mid-day, weekly, and monthly inspections as well as responding to lift breakdowns. Summer season includes a thorough inspection of all lift components, tower work, and grip and chair maintenance and responding to lift breakdowns. Will be operating snowmobiles, 4-wheel ATVs and company trucks. Complete appropriate logs and other necessary documentation.
High school diploma or equivalent. Prefer prior lift maintenance experience, but will train the right candidate.  Must be able to work under timelines and pressure, be willing to work independently as well as part of a larger team. Adherence to all safety policies and procedures is a must. This job requires the ability to climb and work at substantial heights and in all kinds of weather (heat, cold, rain, wind, ice, snow, etc.).  Must be able to lift and carry loads up to 100 pounds. Valid driver’s license necessary. Candidate should expect to work on weekends and holidays, with some overtime. Must be familiar with ANSI B-77. Must recognize and adhere to safety concerns and established protocol.

This year-round position receives salary, paid vacation, health benefits and 401K. Lutsen Mountains is the Midwest’s largest ski area with 4 mountains, 95 runs, and 10 lifts, located on Minnesota’s North Shore of Lake Superior. Company will assist in finding transitional housing.
