Job Title: Restaurant Utility
Department: Food and Beverage
Reports To: Kitchen Manager

SUMMARY
This position is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas and helps with preparation of food. This position will also assure kitchen operations run efficiently by maintaining cleanliness standards through dishwashing equipment, polishing silverware, removing garbage, cleaning of equipment and work areas including the sweeping and mopping of floors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•  Wash dishes and kitchen utensils by hand or in dishwashing machine.
•  Sweep and mop kitchen, dining area, and other work stations.
•  Wipes down kitchen surfaces, tables, booths and bar area.
•  Bus dishes and prepares dishes for washing by scraping and rinsing.
•  Empty garbage around restaurant.
•  Aid in some general food preparation.
•  Responsible for maintaining clean and sanitary food production areas

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); prior kitchen and/or restaurant experience is preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Individual must possess excellent interpersonal skills and good oral and written command of English. Ability to effectively present and respond to guests, customers, and kitchen staff.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to l0 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
