This position will provide administrative support to the Human Resources department and upper management. The HR assistant will aid in the following functional HR areas: HR compliance, new hire paperwork and onboarding, departmental development, HRIS, employee relations, organization development, recruiting and executive administration.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strong communication and customer service skills.
Organize and complete documents and files related to employees, legal documents, tax documents, etc.
Provide support for recruiting functions of HR.
Complete onboarding paperwork and processes that assure new employees have acquired the necessary information about policies, programs, and culture of the company.
Ability to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously.
Administration of Worker’s Compensation and Accident Claims.
Maintain OSHA Reporting and Compliance Records.
Coordinate and maintain HR employee filing system
Develop and maintain positive employee relations.
Ability to work independently and as a team.
Support HR with some Payroll functions.
Assist with the company employee and candidate communications in a polite and professional manner.
Assist HR and management with various projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Associates degree and some experience in Human Resources is preferred. Must have strong organizational skills and competent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. It is also essential to this position to uphold a high level of confidentiality.
