Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Bank Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be
responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while handling various banking transactions. Your
expertise in financial services and commitment to customer relationship management will contribute to the
overall success of our branches.
Duties:
Process customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments with accuracy and
efficiency.
Assist customers with account inquiries and providing information on products and services.
Engage in financial sales by promoting bank services and upselling relevant products to meet customer
needs.
Maintain accurate records of transactions and ensure compliance with banking regulations.
Identify potential fraud through diligent monitoring of accounts and transactions.
Manage cash handling duties, ensuring proper cash management practices are followed.
Utilize financial software for transaction processing and record keeping.
Perform basic math calculations to ensure accuracy in all financial dealings.
Foster strong relationships with customers through effective communication and relationship
management.
Requirements:
Proven experience in banking or financial services is preferred.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.
Familiarity with cash handling, debits & credits, and cashiering procedures.
Basic math skills are essential; proficiency in retail math is a plus.
Experience in fraud prevention and detection methods is advantageous.
Ability to operate financial software and perform 10-key typing efficiently.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
A proactive approach to upselling banking products based on customer needs.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with
customers.
