Mini-class: Map Art Quilt with Shea Schachameyer

Create your own mini sewn map art quilt of Lake Superior. Shea will provide a variety of Superior-themed maps for inspiration, and students are also invited to bring their own. The class will cover instruction of technique, including how to create layered images using fusible and appliqué and students will create one 6 x 6-inch art quilt stretched over canvas and ready to hang.

Students need to bring their own sewing machine, although Shea does have two that can be rented on a first-come-first-serve basis.
